The most extreme fix for the problematic OEM plastic intercooler pipe on the 11-16 Powerstroke as well as the rubber hose on the 2017-2025 Powerstroke, both of which are known to explode or burst under high boost and increased heat/load. SPE has acknowledged this problem and now offers multiple options as a solution.
A full-length hard pipe without a 90-degree boot connecting to the intercooler, although it is designed around being a factory replacement it does not have the down falls of the other cold side pipes on the market. The cold side pipe has all straight hose connections & no silicone couplers with bends. SPE implements a cobra head by the intercooler outlet to retain maximum flow and volume only possible with a cast design.

Notes
- If you’re using an aftermarket intercooler, measure your intercooler outlet. MOST are 3″. If that is the case and you have a 17-22 Powerstroke you’ll need to choose the 11-16 kit in order to have the correct size hose.
