Ah yes, old reliable all mechanical non-turbo IDI engines! Just because it can’t hook and book like a new Powerstroke, it’s still a durable workhorse worthy of some love. Like upgrading to studs! Studs have a higher clamping capacity which gives them superior strength to withstand more stress. And being longer, this provides more thread engagement which gives you a more accurate torque reading.
