The HP Smart Access Cable (Bypass Cable) for the 2018+ Cummins & EcoDiesels is a required component for tuning or performing advanced diagnostics on 2018 and newer vehicles. This cable allows you to bypass the factory Security Gateway Module (SGM), which otherwise blocks aftermarket tools from communicating with the vehicle’s control modules through the OBDII port.
