When servicing your coolant system, this convenient aluminum plug helps stop coolant from escaping through the engine oil cooler adapter.

For example, when putting in PPE exhaust manifolds and up-pipes on a 2007.5-2010 GM 6.6L Duramax LMM, the stock coolant hose becomes unsuitable. As a result, the coolant reroute hose must be taken out and swapped. During this procedure, the PPE coolant block off plug acts as a temporary fix, stopping coolant from leaking from the engine oil cooler adapter while the upgrade is taking place.
Furthermore, this adapter plug enables the utilization of a 2007.5-2010 engine oil cooler adapter on an engine build dating back to 2007 and earlier.
