The South Bend Starter Spacer Kit allows you to use your 5 Speed NV4500 starter and transmission with an NV5600 flywheel. This is commonly used with NV4500 dual disc clutches. If you don’t use the spacer it’s possible the starter won’t engage once your new clutch is installed.
